Harper June in July (Month 9) (164 pictures)

Dear ones-- There really are a lot of photos here. I'm not gonna lie to you. July was another photo-opp-heavy month. We travelled to New Mexico to introduce Harper to Shawn's side of the family then Mom came up from Atlanta and we went to Norfolk to see some of my family. Harper went to the beach, wore shoes for the first time, and attended a baby shower and various ladies lunches. She's really close to walking. Yesterday she pushed her wagon about a quarter of a mile down the road at a pace that made me think she was late for something. Also her word horde is growing: she says "duck," "bye-bye," "woof woof," "dada," (when she sees Shawn) and "shoes" (which sounds like 'douche,' but I'm pretty sure I know what she means). Being Harper's mother is the most fun I've ever had (and am likely to have). Thus the 164 photos. Thanks for indulging me.
Love you all, Jennifer

Only 22 photos to wade through this time! But good ones. June was a big month for Harper. She started crawling at the beginning of the month, she swam in a regular pool, she was on national television (okay, basic cable, but still), and she started weekly Montessori classes (which I'm late for right now). She's on the move and so independent I can hardly keep up with her now. Oh, also, she thinks a cow says "Boo." I told her that's only true if it's a dead cow whose tormented soul is still walking this earth.
Love to you all, Jennifer, Harper & Shawn
May '05 Photos of Harper (43 pictures)

Dear Family, May was busy. In addition to the usual work and play, we took 2 plane trips to Atlanta (one to visit Grammy, Grumps & Auntie Liz and one to film the Movie & a Makeover TV show that will air June 25th on TBS at 12:45 eastern time) and had a visit from Grandpa Bob (AKA Grandaddy Hoyt) and our friends Tracy & Brett. At 7 months old, Harper has 2 teeth coming in and is pulling up on things and crawling backwards. She loves to stand up more than anything, which makes bathtime interesting. She talks constantly, usually about Korean car companies, e.g. "Daewoo" and "Hyundai." I'm trying to emphasize quality over affordability, though, so I reply with "Honda" and "Volvo" and "Toyota." By the way, the other cute baby in the photos is my best friend Liz's son Miles who's 3 months younger. You'll see Harper hitting on him quite literally. She has her mother's aggressive streak, no question. Or, as I choose to think of it, a directness!
Much love, Jennifer
